Binowee Group is a majority Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander owned supplier of commercial furniture, designer planter systems and circular economy services. We supply, deliver and install nationally for commercial property, government, education, health and corporate clients.
Furniture with purpose. Reconciliation in action.
We deliver turnkey, Indigenous led furniture and workspace services: supply, installation, circular take-back programs and transparent reporting. For organisations with a Reconciliation Action Plan, that reporting is what turns a commitment into a measurable procurement outcome.
Ownership and leadership
Binowee Group is 71 per cent owned by Narelle Anderson, a Jagera woman, and 29 per cent by Bryan Rutter. Narelle also founded and leads Envirobank, one of Australia's established container deposit scheme operators, so our circular economy services sit under leadership that has built and run recovery infrastructure at national scale.
Bryan is Managing Director of Design Nation. Binowee draws on Design Nation's delivery capability: the warehousing, the installation crews, the project management and the supplier relationships are proven rather than newly assembled.
What we do
Office furniture and workspace solutions
Commercial grade task seating, desking, storage, soft seating, tables and acoustic solutions, supplied, delivered and installed to the project program, including on live construction sites.
Planter and landscaping systems
We supply Indigenus, an original South African design house whose planter ranges are drawn by Yabu Pushelberg, Sebastian Herkner, Laurie Wiid van Heerden, Andile Dyalvane, Haldane Martin and SAOTA. Stone and timber pieces for commercial landscaping, terraces, atria and public space, supplied with self watering liners and quoted per delivery.
Circular economy and sustainable services
Lease-back, refurbishment and take-back programs, waste to resource pathways aligned to ESG reporting, and lifecycle management of furniture assets. Delivered with Envirobank, our recycling partner, so furniture recovery and workplace container recovery can report under the one arrangement.
